The Digital Technology Committee is dedicated to the technical stewardship and operational support of the Meeting’s digital technology infrastructure. This includes the Meeting website, audio-visual systems, Zoom video conferencing, and email distribution platforms. Although the committee will be responsible for the functionality of the infrastructure, it will not be responsible for the generation or organization of content housed in or delivered via the digital infrastructure.
The committee’s responsibilities include:
- Installations & Configurations: Properly install and configure all digital technology systems to ensure they meet the Meeting’s needs
- Training: Conduct training sessions on the effective use of the digital technologies
- Operational Support: Oversee the operation of digital technologies, ensuring their reliability and accessibility for Meeting activities
- Security: Implement security protocols to safeguard the Meeting’s digital assets from potential threats
- A/V System Volunteer Coordination: Schedule and manage volunteers to assist with the operation of audio-visual systems during worship services, First Day School classes and business meetings
- Evaluation of Potential New Technologies: Evaluate options for new technological solutions requested by the Meeting members and make recommendations to the Meeting
Committee members should have a solid understanding of the technologies they will be supporting, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and challenges. Prior experience in IT, website design, audio-visual support, or cybersecurity will be beneficial.
