Giving Monetary Support to Newtown Friends Meeting
Contributing to the meeting each year is an indication of the continuing strength of Newtown Friends Meeting and its activities. Contributions to the meeting can be made in several ways:
Personal check: May be mailed directly to Laura Kinnel, Assistant Controller, Newtown Friends Meeting, Box 224, Newtown PA 18940. Personal checks may also be left at the meetinghouse in the Financial Oversight mail slot, in the office located off the main stairway to the second floor.
Credit card: Go to the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting donate page to set up a one time or recurring gift. Select Newtown in the Monthly/Quarterly pull down window. Donations may also be made to Bucks Quarter or to Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.
Electronic Transfer: Set up Newtown Friends Meeting through an electronic bill paying function through your financial institution or through the PYM website.
Some have asked us for a suggested amount to be considered. Based on this year’s budget needs, the following guide will enable us to meet our financial obligations:
Individual adults: $650. Families: $1200. Young adults (college/recent grads): $50 or as able.
If each family group or individual member was able to contribute that amount, we would be able to fulfill our financial obligations. We are, however, sensitive to the fact that we all have differing abilities to contribute at various points in our lives, and every financial contribution is welcome and helps us meet our budgetary needs.
